Dear Esteemed Parishioners,
I hope this letter finds you well and filled with the grace of the Lord.
As members of our beloved Transfiguration of Our Lord Church community, we have always strived to uphold the values of faith, fellowship, and stewardship.
Today, I write to you with a humble request for your support in realizing some crucial projects that will enhance the beauty and functionality of our church.
Over the years, our church has stood as a beacon of hope and solace for countless individuals and families. However, as with any cherished institution, it requires our collective efforts to ensure its continued vitality and relevance. Currently, there are several pressing projects that demand our attention and financial assistance:
1. **Repairing Our Front Cement Stairs**: The front stairs of our church, once sturdy and welcoming, are now showing signs of wear and tear. It is imperative we address this issue promptly to ensure the safety of all who enter our sacred space.
2. **Creating a Garden for Mother Mary**: Our desire to honor and pay tribute to Mother Mary calls for the creation of a serene garden in front of the church. This space will serve as a place of contemplation and prayer for generations to come.
3. **Cleaning Up Our Church Hall for Community Events**: Our church hall holds immense potential as a venue for various community gatherings and events. It will also be a source of revenue that can help with the ongoing expenses needed to maintain the upkeep of our church. However, its current state requires thorough cleaning and refurbishment to make it suitable for such purposes.
We are excited to announce the launch of our "Unity in Action" fundraising campaign. We would like to hold ONE large fundraising event as opposed to multiple smaller ones.
Our Goal: Together, we aim to raise $60,000.
Levels of Support:
Platinum: $1000 or more
Gold: $500 or more
Silver: $250 or more
Bronze: $100 or more
How to Participate:
Donate: Choose the level of support that best suits you and make your contribution. Every donation, regardless of size, brings us closer to our goal.
Spread the Word: Share our campaign with your friends, family, and fellow parishioners. Encourage others to join us in this meaningful endeavor.
Recognition and Gratitude: In recognition of your generosity, we will create a commemorative plaque to be displayed in our church, featuring the names of all donors who contribute to our "Unity in Action" campaign.
Your name will forever be etched as a testament to your commitment to our community and its future. You can also donate in “memory of a loved one” who has passed away.
Campaign Timeline:
Our "Unity in Action" campaign will kick off on May 1st, 2024 and will continue until we reach our fundraising goal of $60,000. We invite you to be part of this journey from the very beginning.
For more information or to make a donation, please speak with one of the fundraising committee members or one of the wardens.
May the Lord bless you abundantly for your kindness and generosity. Together, let us continue to build a future filled with hope and grace for our beloved Transfiguration of Our Lord Parish.
With heartfelt gratitude and prayers,
Fr. Lawrence Chinnappan,
Pastor
